This past June, ten Best Buddies participants from the NYC Citizens and Jobs Programs spoke on a panel about their careers to high school students from Mamaroneck High School. Microsoft was extremely generous to host this event at their store on 5th avenue.
The panel was a collection of participants from varying industries and companies around the city including Central Park Conservancy, Blink Fitness and Barket Epstein in Garden City.
The Mamaroneck high school students asked many questions throughout the day. Some of the topics discussed included interviewing, time management at work and the best ways to communicate with colleagues and bosses. The panelists were both professional and relatable as they spoke about their various experiences and goals for the future.
The event was empowering and inspiring for all who attended and we hope to do something similar in the future!
