Best Buddies in Wisconsin is proud to partner with Bethesda College as a host site for our college chapter at Concordia University. Bethesda College of Applied Learning is a two-year college program designed for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in which students live in the dorms and attend Concordia University classes through a blended model of instruction centered on their intellectual, vocational, social, personal and spiritual growth. Bethesda students participate in Best Buddies on campus! Kira Collins, Director of Admissions for Bethesda College shared, “Students participating in Best Buddies find an increased sense of community across campus through being integrated with more peer supports and friendships. Bethesda students not only meet with their Best Buddies, but also see them throughout campus and connect throughout their daily schedules. Living on campus with their Best Buddies, Bethesda students are immersed in a safe environment with daily contact with their Buddies!”
